Mary Boughton, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Mary Boughton provides the strategic direction and management oversight of Peninsula Habitat for Humanity-- bringing her strong business acumen and years of corporate experience to help further the agency's mission of eliminating poverty housing in San Mateo County. Since Boughton joined Peninsula Habitat in 2004, the agency's affordable housing program for low-income families has reached new levels of success, with a number of large housing projects in the pipeline and celebrating the construction of its 100th home on the Peninsula. Boughton's leadership spans all areas of the business, from finance and administration, to fundraising, volunteer services, real estate development and homeowner relations, for which she personally meets with qualifying families to help train and prepare them for successful homeownership. Prior to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, Boughton was Executive Director of Career Closet, a non-profit organization that provides business clothing to economically disadvantaged women who have completed job training and are ready to enter the work force. She also held senior management positions for nearly 20 years at CompuServe Network Services and Accenture's Customer Relationship Management practice. Boughton is on the boards of the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County and First Community Housing of San Jose. She has a B.S degree in finance from Santa Clara University.
Barbara Evans, Director of Development
Barbara Evans is the Director of Development at Peninsula Habitat, with responsibility for all fundraising and marketing programs at the agency, including corporate donor relations, signature programs, planned giving, faith community outreach, volunteer services and communications. Evans joined Peninsula Habitat in February 2007 from the San Francisco Theological Seminary, where she held positions as the Associate Director of Development and the Associate Director of Major and Planned Gifts. Prior to that, Evans held a number of positions in recruiting, including as corporate recruiter at Lucent Worldwide Services in Atlanta, GA and corporate technical recruiter at MCI Worldcom. She holds a B.S. degree from Florida State University.
Tina Phillips, Director of Finance
Tina Phillips brings 25 years of experience in the construction and real estate industries to her role as Director of Finance at Peninsula Habitat. A licensed realtor, Phillips joined Peninsula Habitat in 1995 and is responsible for managing and optimizing the agency's accounting practices and finances, including homeowner mortgages, payroll, human resources, and home repurchases. Prior to Peninsula Habitat, Phillips held the position of CFO at Electro Lite Company, an electrical contractor, as well as Figlia Developers earlier in her career. She was also a real estate loan underwriter and loan officer. Phillips attended the City College of San Mateo and the City College of San Francisco.
Scott Woodman, Director of Real Estate Development
In his role as Director of Real Estate Development, Scott Woodman oversees all land acquisition and home construction activities at Peninsula Habitat. With more than 25 years of real estate development and construction experience in the San Francisco Bay Area, Woodman is responsible for providing overall direction and long-range planning on all housing projects, helping the agency to identify 'hot spots' of need for affordable housing on the Peninsula and to create solutions for obtaining the land, whether through land donations from local cities, partnerships with developers, subsidy funding from county and federal governments, or other means. His expertise is also critical to navigating the lengthy process of entitlements and construction, including procurements, grants, site building, and many other issues. Woodman is a licensed contractor who managed a variety of multi-use residential and commercial projects prior to joining Peninsula Habitat in August 2006. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology from the University of Kansas.
