From the $50 in quarters given to us by a four-year-old girl to a large financial contribution from a corporate executive or a city land grant, each and every investment is needed. Cash Cash may be given in the form of checks, cashier's checks or Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Cash gifts begin working for Peninsula Habitat for Humanity immediately. Please make your check payable to "Peninsula Habitat for Humanity." Real Estate and Property Gifts of land, personal property, a vacation home, or rental property may be made to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. These types of gifts require careful planning, and we'd be delighted to assist you. Often such gifts generate tremendous tax savings and may avoid capital gains taxes. Usually it's better for the donor not to sell the securities but to transfer them as is to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. Cars for Homes By donating a car to Habitat's Cars for Homes™ car donation program, you help Peninsula Habitat build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable shelter. It is quick and easy to donate a car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, construction equipment or other vehicle - running or not!
