We need the corporate community's help to grow Peninsula Habitat for Humanity's capacity to build more affordable ownership housing in the Bay Area. We invite your company to lead the way in partnership with us by becoming a member of the Corporate Signature Program. The Corporate Signature Program is available to corporations and businesses that contribute leadership gifts of $5,000 or more and at least 80 hours of volunteerism to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity during one fiscal year. In addition to the satisfaction gained by knowing that your company has transformed the life of a family and enhanced the community, members of the Corporate Signature Program also have the option to receive special benefits, including recognition in publications and invitations to exclusive events (see below for further details). Signature Partners are essential to the construction of Peninsula Habitat homes and are invited to participate in on-site build days, working alongside future homeowners. As a Signature Partner, your company will serve as a leader and an example for others who wish to make a difference. Meeting the volunteerism requirement (80 hours) of the Corporate Signature Program is easy. We welcome partner companies to roll up their sleeves and get to work at Peninsula Habitat, either in the office, at a special event (such as home dedications, ground-breakings, etc.), or on the construction site, where 90 percent of the labor needed to build a Habitat home is volunteered. Typically this is part of a company or departmental "Team Building Day" with Peninsula Habitat, where your employees have the opportunity to work side-by-side with Habitat families, helping to support their dreams of owning a home. Team-building also fosters a closer working relationship among employees, who gain leadership skills, develop an ethic of service, and build loyalty to your firm or company as well. Your company's financial gift and volunteer contribution are also responsible investments in the community. The impact of your gift is both immediate and enduring. By making an annual financial pledge, corporate partners enable Peninsula Habitat to plan and budget more strategically, creating a dependable pipeline of funding for future growth. In addition, Peninsula Habitat has shown that owning a home means more than a roof over someone's head. Over time, Habitat homeowners strengthen the social and financial fabric of the Bay Area community through lower neighborhood crime rates, higher property values and a secure workforce.
