DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary

DLA Piper DLA Piper is committed to local communities and accepts its responsibility to share resources with those in need. In addition to direct financial support, the firm provides the equivalent of thousands of hours of pro bono legal services to non-profit organizations and individuals.

Since 2001, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary has been a partner with Peninsula Habitat. In 2004 and 2005 summer associates, partners, and staff shared team building volunteer construction days at the Third Avenue, Daly City site. DLA Piper are house sponsors both for the Attorney theme house "Buildable Hours" and in the Biotech House. Steve Cohen, a real estate litigation partner in the firm's Silicon Valley office in East Palo Alto, has led the firm's support of Peninsula Habitat.

In addition to supporting Habitat for Humanity, DLA Piper's local offices have provided free legal services to underserved low-income tenants, helped victims of fraudulent loan and predatory lending schemes, been strong supporters of the Rebuilding Together and Ecumenical Hunger programs, and represented mobile home tenants in litigation involving Fair Housing violations.
