Hathaway Dinwiddie and Subcontractors Provide Valuable In-Kind Donations

Hathaway Dinwiddie has long been regarded as a leader in the California construction industry. While their accomplishments include the Transamerica building in San Francisco, the Stanford Memorial Church in Palo Alto, and the Getty Center in Los Angeles, it is perhaps their less recognizable work that has had the most profound impact.

Since 2001, Hathaway Dinwiddie and their subcontractors have contributed their time, materials and expertise to Peninsula Habitat for Humanity. Their financial contributions and donation of resources and staff time have saved our organization tens of thousands of dollars, which have been redirected to family outreach efforts and the purchase of other much-needed construction materials. Such assistance directly impacts the cost of our homes and helps make them more affordable to very low income families.

Peninsula Habitat would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Hathaway Dinwiddie for going above and beyond the call to help low-income families, and for inspiring their subcontractors to do the same, including Ryan Engineering, Regional Steel Corporation, Dolan Concrete, Therma, Inc. Plumbing, Cisco Fire Sprinkler, Central Concrete, and Hellwig HVAC. Their combined dedication and continued support have helped make it possible for Peninsula Habitat to build its 100th home this year!

We are extremely grateful for Hathaway Dinwiddie's most recent work on four single family houses in South San Francisco, which included laying the foundations, installing the plumbing and fire sprinklers, and helping with the HVAC systems. Because of Hathaway Dinwiddie's generosity, four Habitat families will soon move into their new homes on Commercial Avenue.

Many thanks to Hathaway Dinwiddie for so generously supporting our mission to build affordable homes for low-income families in San Mateo County.
