Seven Families, Seven New Homes - Stronger Community, Changing Lives

Saturday, August 6, 2005 more than 250 community supporters attended the dedication of Peninsula Habitat for Humanity's first north county development at Habitat Way in Daly City. Seven families composed of 35 family members, have become first-time homeowners at 173 Third Avenue, formerly a flower nursery.

On hand to welcome the families were the Honorable Carol Klatt, Mayor of Daly City, and Council Members Sal Torres and Judith Christensen; Eve Aiello, President of the Hillside Homeowners Improvement Association; San Mateo County Supervisor Adrienne Tissier; David Burruto, District Director, Offices of Leland Yee, Speaker Pro Tem, California State Assembly; Susan Broadnax, Federal Home Loan Bank; Marina Yu and Duane Bay, San Mateo County Department of Housing; Daly City Manager, Pat Martel; Bob Hopper, VP Webcor Builders, Construction Partner and members of District 4-C4 Lions Clubs.
