Kids Can Help
Indian Princesses
Ten girls belonging to the Indian Princess group in Hillsborough and their fathers found, decorated, and planted colorful doorway planters for eight new Peninsula Habitat homeowners at Rolison Road in Redwood City. These housewarming gifts were presented to the Habitat families in December 2003 to celebrate first-time homeownership and as a welcome to the neighborhood. Elementary-age girls and their fathers worked on the pots together and the group was recognized on stage at the Dedication Ceremony for their efforts.
"It was so exciting to see people move into a home that they had worked so hard to help build, and my friends, and our dads were really excited to give the families a housewarming gift." - Carly Cozad
